NavAid Calibration

I.A.S. offers Flight Inspection of ground based Navigational-Aids for airports in Central America, South America and the Caribbean.

We have access to a fleet of Beachcraft King Air aircraft specially fitted with additional aerials, communications and monitoring equipment, so that our team of specialist can measure the signals generated by navigational beacons.  The consoles installed in the aircraft are calibrated to fit this particular type of aircraft, and homologated by the DGAC Chile.  All of our technicians are FAA-certified.

I.A.S. treats calibrating each ground based NavAid as a project, carefully planning all aspects with the airport operations team, ground-based technicians, air traffic control and pilots. Our prior planning ensures minimum disruption to regular commercial traffic during the calibration process.

We incorporated GPS based equipment into our console to include additional flight monitoring during calibration, ensuring that additional redundant checks are performed and that our pilots and technicians stick to the allocated time slots to perform the calibrations.

We are familiar with most airports in Central America, South America and the Caribbean. We can either perform one-off calibration or work under a multi year contract.
